I had the pleasure of working with a talented team to prepare a music video for Lu and Saki's cover of GETCHA! by Giga and KIRA with the original Japanese and English lyrics. The embedded video will be added once uploaded.

Chorus battles are multimedia competitions hosted online in which teams of participants collaborate to prepare and submit a cover or original song.
Entries are judged by a panel and scored across multiple criteria. Team roles can overlap and typically include Artist, Animator, Mixer, Timer/Tuner, Mixer, and Vocalist. MoRCB was a two-round, TV-size (short form) chorus battle sponsored by development team behind “Merchant of Rústeria,” an indie visual novel game. I was responsible for delivering original assets from orthographic design to final art included in our entries, which included full-body art and storyboard art. My first foray into the CB community was through RSEKCB, an elimination-style CB that was innovative in its focus on Korean pop music. I prepared character assets from fashion design and initial sketches to full renders for four singers in our team of six during the first round. Moonrise is a rogue-like single player adventure game where you play as a werewolf seeking a cure to her curse once and for all in a town of mayhem and mystery.
As the Art Director on this project, I was principally responsible for developing characters and animated sprites to drive the Director's vision forward. I participated in world-building discussions and guided other artists who were new to the asset creation process. |

Blink is a fast-paced multiplayer 2D platformer fighting game. The player can select a fighter and take advantage of various power-ups that spawn in the arena to overpower the opponent.
This was my first project in SGD and my first time creating assets to be implemented into a game. I followed the Director’s recommendations and began by creating maps with various themes (spaceship, volcano, etc.) and animations for power-ups. After several weeks of developing my foundation in pixel art, I developed character concepts, sprite sheets, and movement animations. |
